Steven Wilson is a PhD student of chemical engineering in the School for Engineering of Matter, Transport, and Energy at Arizona State University. After serving 10 years in the US Navy working in the Navy Nuclear Propulsion Program, he separated from the Navy and pursued his bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Arizona State University. After graduating with honors in May 2020, he continued his graduate studies at Arizona State. His studies consist of marrying the use of computational chemistry techniques and machine learning to drastically reduce the cost at developing fundamental understanding of novel material generation in the renewable energy field.
